I want to take a moment with this post to discuss human trafficking and the campaign of Blissful Faith. Around the world, there are families selling family members to traffickers to have stable money to get by on, exploitation of boys, girls, men, and women are on the rise, and hundreds of thousands of lives are being ended or scarred due to this sinful act of bondage.
Blissful Faith seeks to be a voice to the public and the face of who Christ is. To remain silent isn't an answer. . .nor a strategy. Freedom is never free, but for some, the price is higher and the stakes could take their lives. This is why Blissful Faith is partnering with fellow nonprofits to raise awareness and fundraising to rescue victims of human trafficking and connect them with resources to rebuild their lives.
Shocking Statistics
According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, there were 23,784 contacts with those involved in human trafficking just last year with 4,585 cases reported. And the cases active could be higher. That's just the number that's reported. Along with these alarming numbers, comes the indicators for victims and survivors.

Types of trafficking cases were also reported on the National Human Trafficking Hotline, with genders. Below are the numbers.
Sex trafficking: 3,266 cases
Labor trafficking 525 cases
Unspecified trafficking: 494
Sex and Labor trafficking: 300 cases

Domestic work: 91 cases
Traveling sales crew: 58 cases
Agriculture: 55 cases
Restaurants/food service: 41 cases
Retail/other small business: 26 cases
Venues for sex trafficking are listed below.
illicit massage/spa business: 686 cases
residence-based commercial sex: 313 cases
hotel/motel based: 272 cases
pornography: 204 cases
escort services: 169
Gender cases and nationality by numbers are listed below.
Females: 3,736
Males: 545
Adult: 2,684
Minors: 1,061
Foreign nationals: 622
U.S. Citizens: 572
The contact initiation numbers are below.
Calls: 199,163 cases

The Price of Freedom: Christian Views on Human Trafficking
The value of human life seems to be degrading in the eyes of society with the increase in human abortions and human trafficking over the last decade. However, there is still hope through Christ. The price of spiritual freedom was paid on the cross 4,000 years ago. Christian views on human trafficking point to Isaiah 61 and Proverbs 31:8-9. Believers are called to free the captive and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (the vulnerable and poor). The price of freedom means continuous sacrifice. The Campaign: Lending a Hand
Blissful Faith started as a lifestyle and branched into a blog to help others hear about Jesus Christ and learn how they can develop a blissful faith. Its purpose is to be an evangelical outreach to further the kingdom of Christ. Part of furthering the kingdom lies in comprehending and working towards the needs of others and putting faith to action. This store helps both the blog to grow and to meet the needs of others. About 8-10% of the proceeds will go to The Exodus Road and Agape International Missions to help combat human trafficking and provide rescue, shelter, and recovery programs to those in bondage.
